Alejandra Garcia

Switzerland, 2022

Alejandra Garcia was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She's the proud daughter of immigrant parents from Mexico City. Coming from a traditional Mexican family, Alejandra always felt like her purpose in life was to break these traditions and the vicious generational cycle of poverty, oppression, and violence. Hence, she was the first one in her family to attend college and she received her degree in Social Science from California State University, Chico.

It was during her time at Chico State that Alejandra became a feminist and where she not only realized the importance of educating women, but learned the importance of financial independence. Growing up she saw that the women in her family were constantly oppressed due to lack of education, community resources, and money. Alejandra knew that if the women in her family would've had the tools to fight for a better life, her obstacles growing up would've been different. And that is why she strongly believes that all women should be financially independent in order to achieve an equal, peaceful, and prosperous society.

Alejandra created Moon & Milk to fight for her beliefs through her ancestral practice of beading and hopes one day to help women around the world to achieve financial independence, happiness, love, and most importantly, freedom.
